Today, Gold Spike stands as a staple stop for those. We booked a pool view room, so glad we did. Gold Spike and its nearby hotel first opened up in 1976 and since its birth has seen many transformations. Upon arrival, we immediately were blown away by all the amenities that are offered for the price.
