The only difference you’ll notice is that Word will be more responsive. A process with a lower priority still runs as it should, it simply gets less CPU time when other higher priority processes need the CPU. Process Lasso would detect that that Firefox has begun monopolizing the CPU and would reduce its priority to the operating system.
